April 23, 2026

3:23pm          911 received requesting an ambulance for an Amtrak passenger at the Malta Depot; Undersheriff and local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

4:00pm          911 received reporting a downed power line caused fire, east of Hwy 191 north, of Malta; Undersheriff, Malta FD and NorthWestern Energy responded; fire later controlled and extinguished.

4:01pm          Female reported a wooden chair in the middle of Hwy 191 south, just out of Malta; Deputy responded and removed the chair. 

5:54pm          Deputy released one adult male, Heath Call, from PCSO Jail on time served. 

6:09pm          Female given a one-night stay at a local motel through Ministerial Assistance.

6:28pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

 

April 24, 2026

1:31am          Female reported an alarm sounding from the Hillcrest area; Deputy responded; no alarm sound located in the Hillcrest or 9th St east areas. 

9:27am          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas.

12:08pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

4:17pm          BNSF Police reported a crossing arm malfunction at the Saco crossing and a maintainer was enroute to repair it. 

9:51pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta and Short Oil Rd areas. 

11:53pm        Deputies advised some juveniles to watch for traffic on Central as they had cut off a vehicle.

 

April 25, 2026

6:27am          Several calls received reporting a one vehicle accident on Old Hwy 2, east of Malta; no one was around the vehicle; owner later located and was not involved; case file started. 

7:22am          911 received requesting assistance for a female who fell at a local apartment; EMT Crew responded; patient not transported to the PC Hospital.

10:08am        Malta business reported a dog running loose and was concerned for customers; information passed onto ACO. 

11:35am        NorthWestern Energy requested PCSO assistance with blocking traffic for a downed power line in the Saco area; Deputy handled. 

2:43pm          Male reported a possible gas leak at a Malta business and the business was calling MDU. 

7:29pm          Deputy transported one adult female, Charnez Denny, from Valley Co Detention Center to Phillips Co Jail for release the following day.

 

April 26, 2026

1:01am          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

8:48am          Female reported a dog not on a leash while being walked on the canal behind Murray Trailer Court; information passed onto ACO. 

11:59am        PC Hospital requested law enforcement assistance for a patient; Sheriff responded; case file started. 

7:54pm          911 received reporting a female walking on Hwy 2, west of Dodson; location found to be on the reservation and information passed onto Ft Belknap LE; female had been checked on and refused a ride from LE. 

Numerous other calls received reporting this same female on Hwy 2, now walking in the driving lanes; Deputy responded; female refused assistance and a ride; was trying to get to the east coast.

 

April 27, 2026

8:03am          Female requested law enforcement assistance with a situation involving a juvenile; Undersheriff handled. 

11:34am        Malta business reported a female loitering, stopping traffic and asking for money; shortly after this call, male brought in said female to apply for Ministerial Assistance; Undersheriff responded; female given a one-night stay at a local motel. 

12:00pm        Undersheriff released one adult female, Charnez Denny, from PCSO Jail on time served. 

2:48pm          911 received reporting a two-vehicle collision, on Hwy 2, east of the Overpass; Undersheriff, Deputy, Malta FD, local EMT Crew and local MHP Trooper responded; patients not transported; MHP handled. 

4:07pm          Deputy transported one adult male, August Spotted Wolf, to PCSO to be incarcerated in PCSO Jail on Sexual Intercourse without Consent charges. 

4:53pm          Female filed a complaint about another female driving without juveniles restrained properly around Malta; Sheriff handled.

 

April 28, 2026

12:57am        Male requested law enforcement assistance with a parenting plan issue; Deputy handled. 

 2:15am          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

8:22am          Malta business reported an abandoned vehicle in their parking lot; Undersheriff responded; caller later reported it belonged to an employee. 

9:43am          Female reported a vehicle had just hit the canal bridge on Hwy 191, near the old Armory; Sheriff responded; case file started. 

12:02pm        Undersheriff and Deputy transported one adult male, August Spotted Wolf, from PCSO Jail to Valley Co Detention Center to serve time. 

1:56pm          Female reported possible identity theft and fraudulent use of credit cards; Sheriff responded; case file started. 

2:23pm          Undersheriff and Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas.

 

April 29, 2026

1:04am          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

1:55am          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

12:45pm        Female reported a male “peering into her windows” at a Malta residence; Undersheriff and Deputy responded; male not physically located. 

3:47pm          Female reported juveniles trying to cross Central Ave and a vehicle almost hit them and did not stop; Deputies responded; suspect vehicle not located. 

4:21pm          Female reported school equipment in her residential yard had been tipped over and nothing was damaged; Deputy handled. 

4:39pm          Deputies performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas.

5:45pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

8:18pm          Male reported damage to a dump truck in Whitewater; Deputy responded; case file started. 

9:28pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Whitewater, Hwy 208 and Hwy 191 north areas. 

9:35pm          Deputy reported an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 208, south of Whitewater; vehicle was off the road and not causing blockage; vehicle marked for towing.

 

April 30, 2026

7:23am          Undersheriff performed security checks in the Malta area. 

10:10am        Female reported a dog locked in a vehicle near Veteran’s Park; Undersheriff and Deputy responded; vehicle located; owner, and the dog, were resting in the vehicle and would be moving on after a bit. 

10:48am        Undersheriff reported a possibly abandoned vehicle on Hwy 204 south of Dodson; driver located and all found to be okay.

1:03pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.
