July 2, 2026

2:55pm          Deputy requested an ambulance for a juvenile who took off from a vehicle and had injuries that were bleeding, in a residential area; local EMT Crew responded; juvenile transported to the PC Hospital. 

6:04pm          Female reported her dog had fallen through an open manhole cover by the canal by Murray Field; Deputies and Malta ACO responded; dog later removed from the hole. 

8:07pm          Female reported a reckless driver in Trafton Park that almost hit her; Deputies responded; vehicle located and driver advised. 

10:07pm        Male requested law enforcement assistance with a parenting plan issue; Deputies handled.

 

July 3, 2026

1:11am          Several reports of fireworks being set off in the Malta area received; Deputies responded; kept hearing them being set off and could not locate where it was coming from. 

1:47am          Female reported a stray dog in a Malta residential area and could not make contact with the owner on the tag; female later reported owner had been contacted. 

10:07am        Deputy performed security checks in the Nelson Reservoir, Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas. 

11:34am        PC Hospital requested law enforcement at the hospital for a dog bit victim; Deputy and Malta ACO handled. 

12:33pm        Local Fish & Game Warden advised of a disabled vehicle on Hwy 191 south, south of the DY Junction, and all was ok, they were just waiting for help to arrive. 

1:21pm          Female reported seeing smoke on Central Ave; Deputy responded; no smoke or fires located. 

2:14pm          911 received reporting a fender/bender near the Hwy 191/Hwy 2 intersection; Deputy responded; female later advised no law enforcement was needed as there was no damage to the vehicles. 

4:03pm          Deputy tagged an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 2, near the Sleeping Buffalo rock, for removal. 

4:47pm          Deputy performed a welfare check on a slow-moving vehicle on Hwy 2, east of Malta; driver advised they hit a deer and vehicle was throwing error codes; driver advised they would pull over and wait for family to arrive with a trailer. 

5:12pm          Female filed a verbal complaint about neighbors lighting fireworks at Cedarview; Deputy handled. 

6:38pm          Male reported a bear and a cub in the Camp Creek Campground; information passed onto Fish & Game Warden. 

10:52pm        Male reported a vehicle, traveling westbound, on Hwy 2 toward Malta, without taillights and all over the road; Deputy responded; vehicle not located. 

11:17pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas.

 

July 4, 2026

1:14am          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

2:39am          Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas. 

7:56am          Female filed a written complaint about family harassing her; Deputy handled. 

8:27am          Female requested law enforcement assistance with someone shooting and injuring cats at a neighbor’s residence on Hwy 363; Sheriff handled. 

9:52am          Female reported a missing dog; ACO handled. 

9:59am          Sheriff performed security checks in the Nelson Reservoir, Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas. 

11:35am        Male reported juveniles “popping fireworks” in the Hillcrest area; Sheriff advised fireworks are allowed today. 

12:38pm        Female reported having to put a horse down at the Milk River Pavilion; Deputy responded; situation taken care of. 

1:07pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo, Nelson Reservoir and Hwy 2 east areas.

1:44pm          Deputy marked an abandoned vehicle for removal from Hwy 191, south of the 7 Mile Road turnoff. 

2:26pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Zortman, Landusky, and Hwy 191 south areas. 

2:30pm          Deputy marked a vehicle for removal on Hwy 191 south, near Landusky.

3:17pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

4:56pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Nelson Reservoir, Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas. 

6:02pm          Deputy released one adult male, Christopher Pryor, from PCSO Jail on bond. 

6:35pm          911 received requesting an ambulance for a female having pain in her armpit and radiating out at a Malta residence; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

9:15pm          Malta FD and Deputies reported to Trafton Park for the fireworks display. 

9:44pm          Central Station Alarm monitoring company reported a commercial fire alarm sounding at a local business; business manager responded and found to be a false alarm.

 

July 5, 2026

2:36am          Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo, Nelson Reservoir, Cole Ponds, Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

4:40am          911 received requesting an ambulance to meet a vehicle on Hwy 191 south transporting a female with an elbow injury; Ambulance did not respond after several pages; Deputy responded and escorted the vehicle into Malta to the PC Hospital. 

4:58am          Female reported a suspicious male around her residence in Malta; Deputy responded; male not located. 

9:52am          MHP Dispatch requested PCSO assistance with a vehicle/guardrail crash on Hwy 2, west of Saco; Sheriff responded; case file started. 

11:45am        Female reported a family member’s vehicle on Hwy 191 south, had been “beat up and ripped to pieces”; Deputy responded; case file started. 

6:11pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up at the airport; local EMT Crew handled. 

7:46pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo, Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

9:44pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta and Short Oil Road area.

 

July 6, 2026

1:16am          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

2:37am          Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas. 

1:38pm          Sheriff performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

1:46pm          911s received reporting a grass fire in the ditch, west of the Sleeping Buffalo turnoff, on Hwy 2; Sheriff, Saco & Malta FDs responded; fire later controlled and extinguished. 

5:34pm          Male brought in a found license plate; Deputy responded; owner located and plate returned. 

5:55pm          Female requested an ambulance for another female who was lethargic, out of it and possibly dehydrated at a Malta residence; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

7:11pm          Female reported a stray dog at her residence on south Alkali Creek Road. 

8:20pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

10:19pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Zortman, Landusky, and Hwy 191 south areas.

 

July 7, 2026

2:11am          Deputy performed security checks in the Zortman and Hwy 191 south areas. 

3:04am          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta residential areas. 

1:42pm          Male requested assistance with a rattlesnake in his Malta residential yard; ACO handled. 

1:48pm          911 received reporting a vehicle, driving at a high rate of speed, passing the caller heading westbound into Malta; Undersheriff responded; vehicle not located. 

11:21pm        Deputy assisted local MHP Trooper on a traffic stop by the PC Museum.

 

July 8, 2026

12:34am        Deputy assisted local MHP Trooper on a traffic stop by the Dairy Queen. 

3:23pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas.

6:17pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area.

 

July 9, 2026

12:24pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

1:05pm          Ft Belknap LE requested PCSO assistance with a theft case; Deputy responded; case file started.
