January 1, 2026

10:08am        Internet Crimes Against Children reported an incident involving a juvenile from Phillips Co; Undersheriff responded; case file started. 

1:48pm          Male reported damage to a cabin at Nelson Reservoir; Undersheriff and Deputy responded; case file started.

 

January 2, 2026

4:44am          911 received requesting an ambulance for a lift assist at River’s Bend Assisted Living; local EMT crew handled. 

12:58pm        Deputies performed security checks in the Zortman, Landusky, Route 66 and Hwy 191 south areas. 

3:31pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

5:56pm          Female requested a welfare check on another female at a Phillips Village apartment; Deputies responded; no one answered the door. 

6:44pm          Female reported a vehicle racing down Short Oil Road and had hit her mailbox; Deputy handled.

 

January 3, 2026

9:52am          Undersheriff and Deputy reported an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 204 south of Dodson; no one around the area; vehicle had one tire on a rim and appeared it had caused damage to the Hwy. 

10:26am        Undersheriff and Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas. 

11:55am        Blaine Co SO requested PCSO assistance with transporting a male trying to get on the train; Undersheriff and Deputy responded to the Blaine/Phillips Co line and transported the male to the Malta Depot. 

12:11pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Sleeping Buffalo, Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

2:44pm          Deputy shut off a parked vehicle at the Malta Depot that had been running for an extended amount of time. 

5:00pm          Deputies transported one adult male, Ivan Wing, from PCSO Jail to Valley Co Detention Center to serve time. 

7:31pm          Ft Belknap LE requested PCSO assistance with a traffic complaint about a vehicle without taillights, traveling eastbound on Hwy 2 toward Malta; Deputy responded; vehicle located, stopped and followed into Malta as the hazard lights also did not work.

8:04pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco, Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas.

 

January 4, 2026

8:34am          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

10:08am        Male reported another male harassing individuals and making threats at Albertson’s; Sheriff responded; male had left the location prior to law enforcement arrival. 

1:50pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco, Sleeping Buffalo and Hwy 2 east areas. 

1:56pm          911 received reporting a grass fire south of the Fred Robinson bridge in Fergus Co; information passed onto BLM Fire Dispatch and Fergus Co SO.

2:34pm          Deputies transported one adult male to the Wolf Point Depot. 

4:35pm          Deputy reported sliding into a Roosevelt Co SO vehicle; MHP handled the crash. 

5:44pm          Deputies performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas.

8:31pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Malta area. 

9:24pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas. 

11:19pm        Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas.

 

January 5, 2026

1:34am          Deputy performed security checks in the Loring, Port of Morgan, Whitewater and Hwy 191 north areas. 

4:35am          Male reported an injured deer on the Frontage Road in Malta; Deputy responded and humanely euthanized the deer. 

4:54am          Deputy reported finding another deer and removed it from the Frontage Road.

9:59am          Female filed a verbal complaint about a vehicle parked on

the wrong side at the Malta Elementary School; Undersheriff handled. 

10:20am        Female filed a written complaint involving the male from the previous day in the downtown area; Sheriff handled. 

10:23am        911 received reporting a one vehicle, with trailer, rollover on Hwy 191 south of Malta; caller reported no injuries; Sheriff, local EMT Crew and FD responded; patients refused medical; case file started. 

10:44am        Sheriff requested the Undersheriff for traffic control and a tow truck for the vehicle involved in the above crash; local towing company responded. 

11:49am        Undersheriff advised Hwy 191 south of Malta was one lane in the area of the crash; both lanes later closed and re-opened after the vehicle was removed from the ditch; MT Dept of Transportation also advised. 

3:35pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson and Hwy 2 west areas. 

4:22pm          BNSF train conductor reported a jack-knifed semi truck and trailer on Bowdoin Rd near the intersection with Old Hwy 2; Undersheriff and MHP Trooper responded; two heavy tow trucks responded to get the truck unstuck; two more Deputies also responded; truck later got unstuck. 

4:42pm          911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who fell and possibly broke her hip at a Malta residence; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

6:43pm          Undersheriff transported the truck driver to the PC Hospital for medical assistance. 

7:06pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled.

 

January 6, 2026

4:26am          Female reported her lights “flickering” at a Malta residence; information passed onto NorthWestern Energy. 

7:53am          Female requested an ambulance for a female who fell at a residence east of Malta; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

11:43am        Local Border Patrol Agent requested PCSO assistance with locating a possible “border jumper” in the Whitewater area; Undersheriff responded; female, found to not be a border jumper, was later located by BP Agents. 

12:17pm        Undersheriff requested a school lockdown for the Whitewater School due to the at large female; lockdown removed shortly after. 

3:34pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

4:30pm          Sheriff reported a disabled semi-truck and trailer, on Hwy 2, east of the Overpass; Deputy responded; vehicle had an oil leak and driver was waiting for help to arrive. 

4:46pm          Deputy performed a welfare check on a vehicle alongside of Hwy 2, west of Malta; driver was okay, just waiting for help to arrive. 

7:16pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

10:38pm        Male requested an ambulance for a male having chest pains at a Malta residence; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

11:48pm        Female reported all of her smoke alarms were going off in her residence, with no sign of smoke or fire; Deputy responded; all found to be okay. 

11:55pm        911 received reporting a semi-truck/deer accident, west of Malta, on Hwy 2; Deputy responded; white form issued.

 

January 7, 2026

7:41am          Female reported a “child” near the Historic Point on Hwy 2, west of Malta; Deputy responded; no one located in the area. 

8:43am          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

9:30am          911 received requesting an ambulance for a female who could not get up and had leg pain; Deputy and local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

11:31am        PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

12:27pm        911 received requesting an ambulance for a male with heart issues at a Dodson residence; local EMT Crew responded; patient transported to the PC Hospital. 

2:26pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Whitewater and Hwy 191 north areas. 

2:34pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled. 

4:16pm          Deputy performed security checks in the Saco and Hwy 2 east areas. 

5:22pm          PC Hospital requested an ambulance for a flight crew pick up; local EMT Crew handled.

 

January 8, 2026

9:04am          Out-of-state Female requested a welfare check on a family member at a Malta residence; Undersheriff responded; male found to be in a hospital.

10:07am        Deputy performed security checks in the Dodson area.

1:43pm          Female reported a phone scam.

1.    If you didn't enter, you didn't win

2.    If you have to pay to receive your prize, you didn’t win.

3.    If you have a lawsuit or other legal issues pending you will get notification via certified mail or served to you by an official, whether it is a law enforcement officer or a civil process server

You can also call the National Do Not Call Registry phone number, 1-888-382-1222, to have your phone number removed from solicitors.  Call this number from EACH phone number you want removed, cell or landline. 

For emails, there is an option at the top of your email screen to report emails and block the sender’s email.  This will help with receiving less of these types of emails.
