A New Chapter

After more than 22 years serving the people of Phillips County in law enforcement, including more than seven years as your Sheriff, I want to share that I will be resigning as Sheriff of Phillips County effective Friday, October 16, 2026, at 12:00 noon.

I have accepted the position of Chief of Police for the City of Glasgow, and while I am excited about this next chapter in my law-enforcement career, leaving the Phillips County Sheriff's Office is undoubtedly bittersweet. I will start in that position on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Phillips County has been more than a place where I worked. It has been a community I have been honored to serve, protect, and be a part of for more than two decades. I am incredibly grateful for the trust, support, and friendships I have received along the way.

I am especially proud of the men and women of the Phillips County Sheriff's Office. The work we accomplished was never the result of one person. It was the result of dedicated deputies, dispatchers, administrative staff, county employees, partner agencies, and citizens working together.

Most importantly, thank you to the people of Phillips County. Being entrusted with the badge and the responsibility of serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

As I prepare for this transition, I am confident the Sheriff's Office will continue to serve the people of Phillips County. I sincerely wish the office, its employees, the County Commissioners, and the citizens of Phillips County nothing but the very best.

Although I am moving on to serve another community, a part of me will always remain in Phillips County. I will forever be proud to say that I served as the Sheriff of Phillips County, Montana.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and the privilege of a lifetime.
